Earth and Sun printable

I love teaching about the solar system, but before we get into that, we always spend a few weeks learning about the Earth and Sun. I put together this little supplemental book for the students to keep track of what we are learning about. Feel free to download it for free. Happy new year!! Next month we head into the solar system. Any fun activities or websites out there??

My students love learning about the different phases of the moon. I use the oreo cookies activity to show the different phases of the moon. Every year my students love it!

JGriffiths,

The oreo/moon activity is one of my favorites as well! We are actually doing it this coming Wednesday. I also love making constellations with foil and turning it into a creative writing activity after we study constellations and stars.

I love this little unit! This might seem trivial, but would you mind sharing which font you used for most of the unit - the one with the dots? I've been searching everywhere for a font like this, and the one you used is just right! Good fonts just make everything better!
Cheers,
