Well, I'll share my actual Daily 5 handbook since that's my own work. I have to think about the appendix. I don't want to get in any Internet trouble ;) I can probably just pull out the documents that are photocopied from Debbie Diller and The Sisters' books. I don't feel comfortable selling this document, but if it is useful please comment and consider donating an item off of my Amazon wishlist. I work in a private school so can't participate in Donor's Choose! Have a wonderful Monday! Doesn't it feel good to be on vacation?!
Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! :)

Awesome! I want to do Daily 5 and Cafe but I am required to use our basal with fidelity. Has anybody done this or have any ideas on how to implement together? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteDebra, that is so generous of you. Thank you, my class will appreciate it :)
ReplyDeleteSo it sounds like this handbook will be useful to the new teachers at my school. Thanks for the feedback :)

Wow, thank you for sharing! I'm sure this will be an amazing resource!
ReplyDeleteOn a side note... the document is awesome, but I got in trouble last year for having something similar posted on my site. The publisher contacted me and threatened to sue me! Be careful! :)
ReplyDeleteHey Christina, thanks for the heads up. I spoke with Brenda (the Stenhouse editor) and she said it's okay to share information about the Daily 5, but it's not OK to share original documents from the book (which is why I won't share the appendix). Of courses, none which can be sold.
ReplyDeleteLove the document! I have both books and even though I've read them, your document helps me. You had mentioned something in your appendix about getting it started in Kindergarten (but left it out). Was there a page in one of the books that you can refer me to?? Maybe I missed something in my reading of CAFE or Daily 5.

The kindergarten document came from their website. I think it's free if you search kindergarten CAFE menu on their website or just google kindergarten CAFE menu.
ReplyDeleteI love your blog and all the great ideas you share! I was excited to see you had shared your Daily 5 handbook, but when I tried to download it this message appeared "Sorry, we are unable to retrieve the document for viewing or you don't have permission to view the document." Am I doing something wrong? (Wouldn't surprise me... I am very techy challenged!)
